Embedded in the ICT organization, Functional Identity Management is responsible for managing and controlling the registered identities in the university's meta-directory. 

For the extension school the relevant responsibility of Functional Identity Management is:
- Ensure that users are properly derived from identities.
- Ensure that user have the proper privileges.
- Ensure that (relevant) user data is correct.
- Ensure that user data is properly secured.
- Ensure that all connected ICT systems can properly identify users.
